i am looking for a old christmas movie. it played in the 1970. its about a long ear donkey being born.?

i believe the mother donkey dies. cuz they throw them out of the barn. because of the baby donkey ears,being too long... thank you for your help

I was beginning to think that my sisters and I were the only kids that ever watched Nester. It was one of my favorites, but it was very sad.
