SOHC VTEC is designed for frugal fuel consumption purposes. You will find SOHC VTECs in minis like Honda Fit, sedans like Civic 1.8L etc. With the D15 engine, you will expect good fuel consumption rate. But you won't expect good power output. Power output will be around 95 to 100BHP.

sohc vtec isnt very strong.... since its only 1 camshaft. its more for economy purposes. so ur not gonna feel it kick like in a DOHC honda engine. the D15b is a good engine. u can boost them to make decent power. but if u wanna make good power u wanna go b serries or H serries.................

same way as the DOHC version, just less moving parts. the D15 has i believe 110-120 HP with V-TECH.
