well what do u think about Pittsburg University, or New York University. well i'm a junior in highschool and i've been wondering on whether to go straight to a university or a college. i want to become a physician meaning a doctor that only does check ups and checks patients and writes down what kind of med. the need. if u think other universities or colleges are better then please feel free to list them. thanks. + can u go straight to a university after highschool?

Yes you can attend either a college or a university directly after high school. A university is often a larger school, that's comprised of several colleges...each with different interests/focuses/majors. e.g. X University has several colleges...one for liberal arts, one for business, one for engineering, one for law/criminal justice, etc. I don't know much about Pittsburgh University vs. NYU, but you can read up on them in the Fiske Guide to Colleges, and at www.collegeboard.com.

Do you mean University of Pittsburgh in PA or Pittsburg State University in KS?
The first is a very good public university in Pittsburgh PA with a large student body.
The second is a smaller third tier regional public university that is literally in the middle of nowhere -- that you probably ought to avoid.
NYU is a private university in NYC (Greenwich Village) and is one of the best universities in the country. The only negative about NYU is that purple is one of their school colors.
