That means put zero for x and see what y is (the y-intercept), then put zero for y and see what x is (the x-intercept).
Draw the two intercepts and draw a line through them.

The easiest way to do this is to put the equation into a y = mx + b format. m is for slope, b is the y intercept. I assume you know that the y intercept is the spot where the line crosses the y axis.
So, -5y = -2x + 10 (just moved stuff around the equation). Divide both sides by -5.
y = 2/5x + 2
The +2 is the y intercept (where the line crosses the y axis) and that that gives you the point (0, 2). From that point you can use the slope, m, which is 2/5 to get the second point on the graph.
Take your pencil and put it on the point (0, 2). Using the slope 2/5, count upwards with your pencil 2 spaces, and then to the right, (parallel to the x axis) 5 spaces. Make a dot. Now connect the 2 dots.
Simple, eh?

write thw equation in intercept form
2x/10 - 5y/10 = 1
x/5 - y/2 = 1
x intercept in 5 and y intercet is -2
connect (5,0) and (0.-2) and extend on both sides..
u get the line

-5y=-2x+10
y=2/5x + 2
on graph paper go up two from (0,0)
then go up 2 over 5 to the right and repeat this

x y 0 2 10 0 your coordinates for your graph are : (0,2) and (10,0) I can't help you with the second one 9x + 4y = -15 x = 12 - 5y 9(12-5y) + 4y = -15 108 - 45y + 4y = -15 108 - 41y = -15 41y = 123 y = 3 x = 12 - 15 x = -3 your answer is : (-3,3) Hope this helps!

Rearrange into the y = mx + b form
(solve the equation for y).
The number in front of the x term (called the coefficient) will give you the slope; the term that is just a number (b) will tell you where the line crosses the y-axis (the "point" when x = 0 and is known as the y intercept).
Plot the intercept and use the slope to go "up" and "over" to get a second point.

if you want to know the y-intercept, just cover up the the coefficient and x, so you'll get
-5 y = 10
y = -2
if you want to know the x-intercept, just cover up the the coefficient and y, so you'll get
2 x = 10
x = 5
