I bought an iPod for my niece's 13th Birthday. And would like to put some songs on it for her. What kind of songs are girls her age listening to? Just some suggestions?

13 year olds already have a distinct set of tastes in music typically. It would be difficult for any of us to say what music she would like without knowing if her tastes run toward rap, pop, hip-hop, country, rock, alternative, etc. What I would do is get her an iTunes gift card so she can select some songs herself. If you have any cds she might like, bring them along and she can load songs from them as well.

Mostly anything a Disney Channel star has put out [examples: Hilary Duff, Aly & AJ, Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana]. Also, pop-punk [examples: Jonas Brothers, Bowling For Soup, Good Charlotte, Simple Plan] is popular with people around my age [I'm 15].

It depends on what sort of music she likes. Maybe you could ask her mum or dad what kind of music she normally likes to listen to. Or ask her what music she likes as you're planning on getting her some music for her birthday. That way she'll tell you exactly what she likes and will be pleased and surprised with the i-pod!
