After you urinate, do you ever feel like you haven't urinated fully? and then find that if you squeeze a bit, a few drops come out after you've urinated? No pain...any ideas what this could be?

Forgot to mention...I'm female. No prostate can possibly be a problem :)

When I say "squeeze," I mean squeezing the lower abdominals as you would normally during urination. Sorry for the confusion...didn't know how else to put it.

Could be the start of urinary infection. I'd schedule an appointment with your gyno or family doctor. They will probably want you to give a urine sample so come to the office ready to go!

Ever been to a gasoline pump? Know that trickle
that comes out after the pump is shut off? Just
emptying the tubing I guess. At least that's what
I've always thought.

Another question: Why do you get the shivers
after urinating?

Are you sitting when you wee? If you hover over the loo, you dont always empty fully. The best position is to sit on the loo, bending slightly forward. If you still feel the need to wee, just sit there for a few moments & squeeze again. This should empty your bladder.

It is caused by poor muscle tone usually. Or if you have had abdominal surgury it could be scar tissue blocking the flow. I have the later problem and I find that if I kind of back up to the commode and stand up (bending forward) to pee it all comes out. I have to be careful to get it all out or I get bladder infections. Hope this helps.

I agree with the prostate problem. Even if you are young you should still get your prostate checked out. What you describe is a symptom of prostate troubles

Do you have to go quite often? And if you do, does anything come out? You might have a Urinary Tract Infection. Drink plenty of liquids and hydrate yourself. Either that, or I've heard that women who are pregnant usually urinate more often.

My friend, you should see a doc.....this could be an enlarged prostate which should be check out ASAP. Also, that tiny bit of urine left in your bladder could cause a nasty infection.

How old are you?
If around 50, prostate problems cause that.
See a doctor, you can get help.
