wen i turn on photoshop i just c the gray scrren my tools and all that but i dont c anywere were i can start working is this normal?if so were do i put a canvas so i can begin working

On your top menu you will see a menu item called window. Click on this and select the items you want to see on your desktop (grey area)

To create a new canvas, go to File > New. Give it a Width and Height, or leave it as it is, and click on OK.

That's normal. Select File, New and then give it a width and height.

Once Photoshop is up, go to FILE; NEW, and type in the parameters of your intended image.

try going to file > new or file > open
