i don't think he truly is. i think his outburst at the laugh factory was a breakdown of sorts. he was really pissed and used the worst words in his arsenal to offend those two black guys. i basically think he did it for shock value. just because you use the word n*gger doesn't mean you're a racist. it means different things to different people anyway. i call my friends n*ggers when joking.. like, "shut up... you're such a n*gger". i am not a racist, tho. anyone who immediately yells racist is spewing left-wing slurs and propaganda.

of course... i am not saying michael edwards isn't a racist. if he is, i wouldn't necessarily say it's because of that.

Yes, and I don't really understand why you're defending him. When people get angry or drunk their true colors come to the surface. Him using the "n" word wasn't even the big point, it was the context in which he used it. If saying the "n" word doesn't mean you're a racist then why is the "n" word a racial slur?

I agree with thorn, that sometimes when you get drunk or angry your true colors come out.... well if he is a racist then what can we do?? If he isnt than thats good. Maybe it was all an act also. When we all hear the "N" word we all associate it with being racist. It is a touchy subject. It's hard to convince people your not a racist when you run around using the N word, like using the F word all day and saying "I dont have a dirty mouth".

At least get the guys name right. It is not Michael Moore or Michael Edwards, it's Michael Richards.

Michael Moore is a documentary filmmaker. Michael RICHARDS is the one you're thinking of. Do some research before you go online to ask a question!

I think he is if he had any respect for other races at all he would never use such racial slurs as he did at his performance at the Laugh Factory. His true character came out and it was very uncalled for.
He deserves the backlash for what he did.

First of all, his name is Michael Richards, and on an interview with David Letterman, he claimed NOT to be a racist. I guess that you should decide for yourself.

comedy is sometimes spur of the moment, so when he did use the n word he just went with it to keep the comedy routine going, unfortunately it didnt work out very well heh. he might have also been on some kind of drug, although not an excuse, it would explain alot.
