I do hip hop dance and i have been pushed many times and one time i cried because they pushed me so hard, but i kept on going. This is probably sounding pretty cheesy but she is pushing you because she knows you're good and if you want to get better you won't quit. Dancers are pushed everyday, i was at a workshop today and a hiphop convention the weekend before it is hard to go weekend to weekend, class to class and be pushed to limits i can't reach. My teachers told me to never say can't it was acctually shuned. But when you get to wherever she is pushing you to it will feel so good and you will be glad you didnt quit. I recommend www.boogiezone.com it is a dancer community website and you can ask questions like these and they have good information, videos, answers and there are many of L.A.'s hottest coreographers right there telling you answers, i know i sound like and ad but boogiezone really helps dancers out. So just check it out it is pretty cool. DON'T quit because if you quit now you will always quit when the going gets tough. You may confront her about how hard it is but then she may think to have yo go down a level and that might be as bad as quitting.

Tell your coach nicely that you have been working hard and that you needed some respect.Tell her honestly how you feel when you're being pushed.Sometimes,it's better to be straightforward than to be 'straight-backward'.Tell her that best dancers have feelings too and that you dislike her pushing you around.Who cares if she's not pleased, you're not impressing her in the first place, you're impressing and pleasing yourself.Don't feel pressured over the pleasing thing,it'll only makes you more vulnerable.

That's a good thing when your teacher seems that she is not pleased and you know that you are really good at what you're doing well she wants you to try your best all the time and don't say anything to her because later she won't even push you no more. Be happy with what your teacher is saying because that's a very good thing, believe me that's its worth it. And later you'll see your hard work pay off. And be happy, believe in yourself and just try hard cuz that's how you're going to be in the top.
Good luck!!!!

you should not approach your coach, it will pay off, and one day you will be looking back and thanking them. If they didn't think that you have what it takes they would not be pushing you at all. So suck it up and do what it takes to be the best. Never give into being tired. " The only time that success comes before work is in the dictionary."

Write her a note saying "I appreciate your confidence in my ability. However I would like to have more time to savor my accomplishments and enjoy the moves you have taught me. Then move forward into my next routine. Your cooperation and understanding in this matter would be greatly appreciated. This was a difficult note for me to write ,because of the respect I have for you and your ability." signed... Your dedicated student....... Good luck

she knows you are one of the best. that is why she is pushing you. the harder she pushes the better you should do. show her you are one step ahead. be dedicated. do your best and then give it even more. no one can push you too hard to be the best you can be.

Tell her if she doesn't let down, you'll find a different instructor. If you're the best dancer, then she won't want to lose you, and will lay off.
