This takes just a bit of time but try this: pour some regular ammonia into a glass or cup, full strength will not harm your jewelry but if your worried, dilute by half with water. Put rings into the glass or cup and let them soak for a few minutes. With an old toothbrush gently brush your rings clean, be sure to get underneath where the rings touch your fingers. Rinse well and use the toothbrush while rinsing as well. If your rings are not sparkling now, you can still wet a cotton ball with alcohol and wipe down your rings with that. If they are not sparkling by now, they need to be taken to the jeweler. Try this method, I use it all the time and love the way my rings look.

I know this sounds funny, but have you tried toothpaste? Seriously, not the gel kind, but like Colgate and a toothbrush?
