tongue ring?

is it slutty to get a tongue ring???? i already have a couple other piercings, my ears 2 on each ear lobe and double cartalige and my belly button, which i love, another piercing i want is my nose, but wat do you think about tongue rings???

Eh, I wouldn't do it. Think about all the food and bacteria in your mouth, all getting stuck into one little tongue piercing. Ugh.

I personally have nothing against tongue rings. I don't think they are slutty, but I would think about consequences.

There have been cases where a tongue piercing gets infected and it caused the tongue to swell, keeping the person from being able to eat and eventually breathe. Granted this is only a few extreme cases, infection is serious and easy to treat, if you actually go in to get it treated. If left alone, it could cause death. Infection is common in all piercings, just be cautious. In any case, piercings also kick ***! so whatever you decide, enjoy all of your piercings cuz they say a lot about who you are! Be proud of them! and if anyone calls you a s l u t, punch 'em in the face...

This is not always necessarily the case... BUT... if you have a tongue ring a lot of people will look at you and think it's slutty. I have a lot of piercings myself and people look at my septum piercing and I assume I am a slut or goth. But I always stayed away from a tongue ring myself bcus I've heard the way that many guys talk about girls who do have them as being "oral monsters" also because of the health risks. People who have tongue rings are likely to destroy the enamel on the back of their teeth, and are more prone to grinding. If you want it get. and F*ck everybody else if you don't like it they heal. But my guess is you didn't care before what people thought when you got your other piercings so don't care now.

i have a tongue ring and when i first got it i thought people would think that i was slutty, but that wasnt the case. when i got to skool it was still healing and my tongue ws swelled so it was pretty noticable that somethin was wrong. when people saw it they said it was cute and they wanted to get one. plus who cares what people think?

there are risk like a damaged tooth, which can be resolved by getting acrylic or plastic balls. also, with every piercing there comes a risk of infection, but the tongue has the LEAST chance of getting one because of the natural enzymes Ptyalin and LAP which kill bacteria. Thats why you can't OD on the mouthwash because it kills those enzymes.

there was no pain when i got it pierced, but it was sore afterwards. your tongue sweels and its hard to talk correctly. be prepared to eat slushies, milkshakes, smoothies, and soup for the first 10 days.

overall, i think its worth it so ENJOY!

TONGUE ring heals in 2 months, feels healed in like a week and a half, and it rather is purely approximately impossible to get an infection. abdomen ring takes as much as a year to heal and can get contaminated surely because of the fact of clothing. i might say abdomen because of the fact it's going to probably be your first make it something hidden. I surely have the two. have been given the tummy first, purely approximately have been given contaminated because of the fact I positioned on my pants to my bellybutton and it rubbed against it till i finished. abdomen hurts somewhat extra yet the two exceedingly plenty do no longer harm in any respect.

I wanted that too until I realized how screwed up my teeth could get. If you have nice teeth a tongue ring could easily mess them up with chipping or rearranging them in your mouth. If your tongue gets infected or swells too much, you will look like an idiot.

There are too many risks. Get your nose pierced instead. Mine is pierced and although it hurt, it looks simple.

hey!!! well you know what actually i have a tounge ring.Anyways, I think it's in the beholder's eye to judge people right?!?! and i find it not slutty though, infact i think it's like a attention-grabber-material. And maybe the only reason why people think it's slutty because they envy it!! that means they don't have the guts to show their other side or something.. take care now!

Yawn. Tongue rings are so . . . old, like fat guys with pony tails. And yes, you get one of those and you are a slut, no matter what you say. Oh, one other thing - I won't date a girl with one. Why don't chicks do stuff to make themselves look original - ya know, like get in shape, lose the belly flab that hangs all around the stupid lo-rise, keep your hair clean, cause all that other stuff still doesn't make you more attractive, unique, different or, God forbid, pretty - which girls don't do anymore.
