amla is the indian gooseberry. I think it's got the highest vit c content among all the fruits and veggies. It's good for your hair and immunity. In india, you can buy something called called 'chywanprash', which is made of amla and is supposed to be super healthy.

Amla = Gooseberries in Sanskrit/Hindi
the green sour fruit. it is an extremely cooling fruit rich with iron and folic acid. good for pregnancy. indians make food products such as pickles, hair care and skin care products out of Amla and its extracts. This is all i remember offhand. u can search nutrition information and recipes from other countries on google for gooseberries.

Amla is Emblica Officinalis found in abundance in India. It is rich in Vitamin C, lowers cholestrol and controls premature greying of hair.

amla is a vegitable round in size ( 2to3cm in dia) light green in colour.the plant is a tree more than 40 feet hight (dipends on fertility of soil) found in tropical countrys. I t has plenty of vitmin C and most of the minerals and vitamins . it is called as poor mans apple. It has citrus taste. medicaly it is good for general health of all ages and hair oils are formulated for good growth of hair for ladies.it found at south incia (India) grown in homes and foreest. Amla is my GF's name.She is in Mumbai.
Whenever I get tensed...I go to her. And she relaxes me very much. This is amla's medicinal properties.
