Ive been racking my brain trying to come up with a way to incorporate music from afghanistan into a curriculum for children? Movement and music would be good. Ive already came up with the idea of making an instrument from Afghanistan. Please any ideas?

Maybe choose a simple folk song with a translation. But certainly, I do like your idea of focusing on the musical instruments. You can show them one particular instrument, let them listen to what it sounds like, and listen for that sound in a song.

A traditional dance might be a good idea too. And then there are Afghan children's songs.
