I need to make a wireless network on my laptop but everytime i try to but in the name ssid it says that the charecters i have used are invald. help

The best way I find to set up a Wireless network is this:

1. Broadcast your SSID, on your wireless router.

2. You may want to set Encoding (WEP or WPA) at this point.

3. Get ALL your wireless Devices connected to the network devices. Make sure that your network is a Preferred network on your wireless Devices.

4. Turn off your SSID Broadcast.

The name can be picky. Using "Dave" is not the same as using "dave"
