There are some really nice pilot training schools throughout the country. Not sure if there is one in Texas though. The pay is fairly good, but like long distance truck drivers, if you count the time you are not actually at home, then that alone narrows it down to a lower pay scale. If you had an email address posted, I would ask a few people whom I know, then I would tell you. But you don't, so I can't. Click on my avatar, and email me. I can get back to you as soon as I can. See ya.

If you wan to fly for a commercial airline you do need a four year degree so I would suggest that you attend a college or university that has aviation as major. The more prominent schools are Embry-Riddle and University of North Dakota. But there are a couple in Texas as well try looking into San Jacinto College, Central Campus http://www.sjcd.edu/program/aeronautical.html

Good luck!

Yes, I have a website that has a ton of schools in every area of interest. Check this out and see if this can help you.

Once the page comes up. Click on the drop down list and select "Airline & Aviation". Next Input your zipcode and then click on search. You should get a few options that come back in your search. Then you can request Free information from the schools.
