You don't think Glen Beck is offering a balanced view? Read the following:
"CNN's Beck to first-ever Muslim congressman: "[W]hat I feel like saying is, 'Sir, prove to me that you are not working with our enemies' ""
"As Media Matters for America has noted, Beck previously warned that if "Muslims and Arabs" don't "act now" by "step[ping] to the plate" to condemn terrorism, they "will be looking through a razor wire fence at the West" and declared that "Muslims who have sat on your frickin' hands the whole time" rather than "lining up to shoot the bad Muslims in the head" will face dire consequences."

No, Beck isn't the worst talk show host. Nancy Grace is utterly brain-dead. But Beck is hot on her heels.

I've read another respondent's answer describing Beck as a "great American," and as a "true American," alongside Rush Limbaugh. And it makes me wonder: what exactly is a "true American?" Is it the Americans who put on a uniform and go off to foreign lands contrary to what they probably want to do, because they gave their word that when ordered, they *would* go? Are the true Americans the ones who preach salvation through Jesus Christ? Are they the ones who wake up every day and go to work to support their families? Are the true Americans the ones who helped collapse the housing market through bad lending practices? Are the true Americans the ones who gave 700 billion in tax payer dollars to curb the crisis? Are the true Americans the conservatives? the liberals? the moderates? I put on a uniform and took an oath to protect the Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic. I no longer wear a uniform, and I disagree with Beck and Limbaugh. Am I a true American? One should be careful about the label "True American." EDIT--the thumbs down answers my question for me.

Hard to measure. What about Neil Cavuto, or O'Reilly? I'd says they're in the same league as Beck.
I think business comes before principles at CNN just like it does at all TV networks. CNN probably just wants to capture more market, so they think if they throw in a hard right kind of guy, they can get some of the Fox viewers.

With him, Daryn Kagan and Nancy Grace, the intelligence quotient at CNN is dropping lower by the day.

Do you libs want everyone in the media to be like you? I'm glad there are opposite opinions on television.
I get sick of listening to the liberal view all the time.
There are more liberal views on TV than conservative ones, so quit whining.

I'm really not sure but I'll bet he used to be double jointed and is presently over-compensating for it.

No he is not....he is great....look all you have to do is research the things he is saying .........however you have to do it without any bias.....which I highly doubt you will because of the agenda you are promoting with this question.

i don't think he should be on TV because he admits he is an alcoholic and a drug addict openly on the air and we do not need that on our TVs
