Are you sure procrastination is the problem here?
Or, is it motivation?
I've learned if there is something I don't like (or want) to do, I make myself do it. I had a job and there was one thing I hated to do, so whenever it had to be done, I requested to do it. Turns out it wasn't bad. And it's not hanging over my head anymore.

That's what you have to do, when you get an assignment just do it right away. Then you don't have to think about it anymore.
Imagine being able to enjoy your weekend without worrying about your homework!
Like having to eat everything on your plate, eat what you don't like first, then you can really enjoy the meal, without knowing those carrots have to be eaten ?
GOOD LUCK!

Dude, I have the same issue... it sucks to procrastinate.
Sometimes I feel as If I'm another person when I'm stalling myself out of doing something.

This usually happens when I have to do something I don't really want to... At this exact moment, while I'm here wondering around yahoo answers, I was supposed to be doing something else...

From my experience, the only way to bypass procrastination is to anticipate it. You know when you're about to procrastinate, so just don't let it happen. Do things straightforward. Don't stop to think, just do it. That may help a lot.

I think the main reason we procrastinate is because we do not look forward to doing what it is we have to do, so whenever you start to tell yourself you don't feel like it, or you'll do it later, stop yourself & really think to yourself that it won't be beneficial to wait until later, that if you get it done now you will feel better & have time for other things. Push yourself to get the studying done, even if you don't want to, because you will be proud you did it later on. Doing this repeatedly gives you the discipline to keep doing it in the future.

lol. Procrastination. I am sooooo happy to find out that I am not the only one on Yahoo Answers right now for that reason. As to an advice....I am probably not the best qualified person...but I can share a few things that might...maybe....work.....sometimes. What I personally do is write myself a note and pin it to my billboard, something like: "Stop Procrastinating!!!!! YOU ARE GOING TO FAIL!!!!"...but there s really nothing else you can do...mmm...try going to the library to study ( doesn t work for me caus I don't study well in unfamiliar surroundings). Just Make yourself work, say to yourself: I am going to sit down and work. as they say in Nike's commercials: just DO it!

Good Luck with the science test .....and STOP CHECKING YAHOO ANSWERS EVERY 2 MINUTES!!!!

go watch a documentary on 3rd world countries, and see how harsh living conditions are for other people. These people are about the equivalent of homeless people in the united states. After watching it, tell yourself that if you don't study, you're going to be one of them. If that doesn't work, watch an episode of cribs on mtv, and promise yourself that if you don't study, you won't get to live a lavish lifestyle and live in a beautiful house with fantastic luxury cars....make something of your future, b/c you only get to have one chance, and it starts with school

try to set up a schedule for yourself. i have a procrasinating problem myself and sometimes organizing helps. also, keep reminding yourself of how much free time you will have when you finally finish some annoying homework assignment or big project.
