Since the '99-'00 season, has their been a more IMPORTANT player to their team as Shaq? If your answer is no, and that Shaq has been the most important, please explain your reasoning. If your answer is yes, and that there has been a more important player, please explain your reasoning.
Keep this in mind. Kobe hasn't won a single playoff series without Shaq, and NEARLY EVERY stat of his has dropped, except scoring. And even with his scoring, his FG% has dropped. And the Lakers were 3-0 without Kobe. Wade's numbers are down without Shaq, and the Heat are realizing that they're not as good as everyone gives them credit for, without Shaq, or with an injured Shaq. Also, look at Penny. He went from being compared to Magic Johnson, to a reserve (coming off the bench) in just a handful of years. So we have Kobe and Wade both being compared to Jordan, and Penny being compared to Magic Johnson... hmmmmmmm... Now who has been the most IMPORTANT player to his team in the last 7 years? hmmmmmm

I'm not worried about how he looks when he plays. Just know that ALL of the GUARDS he has played with, have had lower FG%'s without him. That is a fact, and all of them have had a lower Assist-to-Turnover Ratio without him.

Shaq is a big stable team player. He could be a Jordan or anyone else in other size frames. He is a competitor.
The Hall awaits him.

To be fair you'd have to say without Kobe Shaq would not of won the Championship either. I don't think Jordan would of won with Pippin or Kerr etc. There has never been a team who had only one star and won the Championship. Basketball is Team. Last year Shaq would not of won the championship without Wade. Magic don't win it without Jabbar. Willis Reed don't win it without Walt Frazier, Bird don't win it without Parrish. Shaq probably was the most dominating player in the 90's-2000s. But, he could not win it alone it takes a team. Remember Teams win championships.

First off Shaq was a good center but now he is not the best.

At the center position right now Yao has to be the best player in the league. He has brought the Houston Rockets to fame. Last year without him Houston had one of its worst seasons. You might say McGrady had something to do with it, but if you look at this season without McGrady, Houston has done well.

Second Dirk Nowitzki is on fire. Without him Dallas wouldn't have gone to the Finals last year. He is a good clutch shooter and dominates all players. I dont think there is a player in the league that can guard Dirk. You could argue Howard, the bench, and Terry were what led Dallas to Finals, but look what happened when Dirk had bad games in the FInals. They lost because Dirk was not at his best.

particular, like C.Anthony. The nuggets have been like 21-sixty one formerly that they had the possibility to draft Anthony, and now seem, Denver has had 2 or greater branch titles. If that may not called an important participant, i dont kno what's. in basic terms think of, popping out of the NBA draft, ur youthful, ur green, and you're asked to steer a team that won in basic terms 21 video games final season. Evenmore, you're predicted to accomplish that on the utmost basketball point in this earth, its a complicated job, ideas you, How important is he? nicely, this season is youthful, however the closest everyone has been to Anthony interior the nightly field score (aisde from J.R. Smith in a one hundred forty element slugfest) substitute into 12 factors.

Nope there hasn't Shaq is in the top 3, if not the 1st, most dominating player to ever play the game. Now that was in his prime, but now he is getting old, slowing down, and relying way to much on his power. He used to be a fun player to watch when he could get quick dunks and run down the lane and jam, but now he is becoming old and the injury bug will keep on getting worse and worse for him.

How about Steve Nash? He was named MVP (twice) for a reason.
Or maybe Tim Duncan?

That said, I do agree that Shaq has been very important to his teams and the critical element to his championship teams (though last year I think it was obvious that Wade was more important)

Lebron James

Cleveland basketball meant nothing. The Cavs? who are they. Who cares.

Enter a local kid who carries himself well. Plays the game because he loves it and just continues to impress.

I am an old overweight white man. I am 5'7" tall my vertical leap is about three inches.

Yeah that's right and now I am a Cavs fan, Thanks to the King.
