I dont think you can bench him, he is yer franchise..but is it just me or does he look 180 degrees from what he was to start the year.. ZERO Confidence.

I dont think it is a talent issue with Eli. He has a TON of god given ability. It is the inconsistency from not just game to game, but play to play and drive to drive and quarter to quarter. HE can look like all world, and then 2 plays later make a throw that has you asking, can he play in the NFL.... Everyone keeps saying its confidence and Mechanical with him.. well why dont the damn coaches FIX HIM!

I can assure you Im in no way a fan of Daddy's Boy Manning

but with adjustments he may get it together,
seems like people are only worth what thay have done in the last ten seconds
saying that he is great remains to be seen as he gains enough years/games under his belt..

Maybe they can trade him to San Diego for Rivers? Okay just kidding...bad joke but really they just need to stay patient with him. He is a good QB and like his brother and every other QB he needs time to develop into the player everyone expects. It is tough playing in the NY spotlight and everything is magnified there but I think in reality he is progressing pretty well. Today the TEAM made some stupid mistakes, cant put it all on Mannings shoulders. I suspect there are deeper problems (Coughlin) and the team as a whole might need a change.

I feel so bad hating him so much after this game. I love his brother. I wish, WISH he could have half the talent that Peyton has and actually make something of it.

I don't know if the pressure of being perfect is getting to him. I don't know if it's all of the injured players that used to carry his fumbles and mistakes that are now not there to clean up his mess.

We really can't bench him. Not now. If he plays a few bad plays, it would be okay to put in Hasselbeck or Lorenzen to try them, but then I'm thinking you'd have to put Eli back in.

It's a difficult decision. There's so much wrong with that team right now that it's just heartbreaking to watch. Well, heartbreaking for me. They are my team, after all. :(

That's what the Giants who are in charge of scouting get for thinking that Eli was just like Peyton! It looks as though San Diego got the better deal out of all of this. Eli will never be like Peyton...they need to get it through their heads. They need to pick up a QB at the up-coming draft.

people over estimate eli manning's abilities just because he's related to peyton manning. sadly eli manning isn't the best quarterback, and he's not the only one getting benched mid year. bledsoe and brunell have been benched as well. so don't worry too much about it causee their 2nd string will seem amazing at first, but then he will let them down big time.

He just needs more time. He already has a better record than the first 3 seasons than other, famous qb's headed for the Hall of Fame.

Every since he lost that game to his brother Peyton in the beginning of the season, he hasn't been right

It's a tricky situation since he runs hot and cold. He's a good QB in spurts.
