Because human beings are greedy, selfish creatures. Always have been, always will be.

If everything in this world was fair, how dull life would be. Everyone equal everyone the same, how would we be able to tell if we were happy or satisfied, how would we be able to express ourselves differently from others? What would we complain about? Language, discussion, debate is part of what makes life worth while. If we were all the same in a fair world we would have very little to stimulate us.

because life isn't as straightforward and simple as it is. yes it can be a pain in the ****, but the thing, is if everything was that easy, that straightforward and everything in life was a bunch of roses, then i'd be bored stiff and besides, it wouldn't pose much of a challenge. plus, our lives wouldn't be as interesting as they are. problems arise for various reasons, but the whole point is not just to make them but to solve them and learn from our mistakes. though of course when those problems are of someone else's making, then its they who have to resolve it in their own way.
unfortunately however, we live in a world where in life it is never fair in this day and age- be it not gettting what you want in life to expecting everyone to be nice to you- though if only that was the case. and yet still, just because its not fair on you or on other people, you have got to take a stand and do something about it and act on it. if you feel something is not right, rather than shout from the rooftops, get off your backside and take the initiative, take action. though in regards to the lack of fairness in the world, that's just the way it is, i'm afraid. but as i said its not too late to do something to address the problem.

Big coloured lights, Ferris wheels, balloons, stuffed toys, coconut shy's and candyfloss. They're fair in this world. If you mean life, it may be unfair, but you can change your lot. Learn a harsh lesson and next time it happens, know that you're a little better equipped to handle the situation...

What is fair in your opinion, may not be fair in my opinion. I guess when we ask a question like yours, we would have to be specific.
