theyre asking why do we exist, or why are they a failure, but not how can they find joyous content.

The answer to your posted question, I believe, is yes. We are all seeking a "meaning of life" because we feel dissatisfied with our own lives and need to find a contentment as you mentioned. The thing I find most funny about those questions is that clearly if someone were to somehow actually tell you the meaning of life, it would be meaningless because you didn't find it for yourself. But, in short - yes.

Human being is curious for nature, people that stop by a few seconds or people that has suffered some kind of ethical-meaning whatever has turned out and wondering why? what is the meaning? This is part of our human being, that we realize that we might try to answer whit good contributions to others is just part of the answer, but the question will be always there.

I don't think that Joyous contentment is the meaning of life
I think that if you have meaning in your life doing things, helping others and making others even if it is only family happy, you have found a way to make people feel joyous and in that helping and caring you find contentment,
Other will also help you so you will feel joyous and to know that others care about you also

How about those who are serving in the armed service right this minute! I would say each person who are selfless and striving for a better future.
How about those who are working in the peace corps, I think they are giving up their nice comforts to go to some hard comforts places.
It is easy to be content to your surrouding, if you are open enough to accept it.

if asking "what is the meaning of life" is the same as "how can i find a joyous contentment", then the meaning of life would be to find a joyous contentment. if finding a joyous contentment is not the meaning of life, then no, those two questions are not one and the same. but maybe that is the meaning of life. it could be the meaning of somebody's. it's not the meaning of life in my eyes.

Well for me personally, I think that life is about doing for others...people who do for others are really more satisfied
with their lives...then people who are selfish....at least this is my opnion.....I find helping other people in need gives me a satisfaction like no other....perhaps this is because of years of rejection and hurt and never being good enough for anyone...so maybe I'm really selfish in the long run....but it works for me
YES to answer the question...sorry

the way i see it is to get though a raw deal as easily as possible.only sure way to divert from pain physical or emotional is to see a smile.better still to know you created that smile in that someone.everyones biggest dilema is the worst theyve faced even if its a winters chill while yours is agonising disease.we are both facing our worst so helping each other with a smile of recognition helps you to know youre not alone in youre struggle and someone noticed.
