I agree with the first post that it showed a new side to Bond that has not been seen since Connery. It totally made me connect emotionally to a character that I hadn't ever truly cared about before. Bond was kind of caricature before, not a human. I think that was very much what the moviemakers wanted. This way, they broaden Bond's appeal to women and get more people into the theatres for the next Bond outing. I personally think Daniel Craig is a much better Bond than previous incarnations.

I thought it was very moving. It showed a compassionate side of James - that's why this was my favorite Bond movie. It was more real than the others.

it showed that james bond used to have feelings. the only other time bond has ever cared about a girl is when he got married in on he majesty's secret service and his wife was killed.

James Bond is human afterall, at least this one gets hurt , beaten, almost dies and even falls in love...first Bond film i ever liked.

at first i thought, when is she crying then i saw 007. that was kinda weird, but cute when she was scared or something wit james bond.

I thought it showed us another side to 007 as this was the start of him falling in love. It gave depth to his character.
