I have 5 kids and the housework seems endless but I have found the easiest way to conquer it is to pick up as I go turn the stereo on a listen to your favorite CD I dont ever try to clean while the tv is on or else I am easily distracted... Clean up the small messes while they are small. That way you dont dread it.. Believe me with 5 kids if I did not do this system my house would probably look like a demolition zone.

OMG! I have this problem too. Maybe its a disorder that we can get meds for. JK.
I find it easier to keep a clean house clean than to clean up a messy house. My husband does most of the cleaning. I follow up on the little things daily i.e. a little trash on the floor, dusty appliances. Doing a little bit (10-20 mins) a day really helps.
As for laundry, I've started taking it out to the laundromat. Where I go there is a shopping area surrounding it. I just step out during the wash to the market and come back to put it in the dryer and then step out again. When you're on your feet folding you do it alot faster than when your in your comfort zone at home. The attendant can also do your laundry for you (most places charge per pound).
If you get too overwhelmed with housework, then I agree with some of the others about hiring some help to deep clean the house every 2-4 weeks. Not everybody can afford a cleaning service so having them stop by every few weeks can help lighten the daily load. Hope that helps.

I think of it like this, I love a clean house therefore I am going to clean it whenever it gets dirty.. If you hate cleaning then you have to clean more often so that when you do clean it only takes a few minutes.. Like for example if I am washing clothes - washer and dryer in the basement I set the timer upstairs so that I know when the dryer and washer are through so i only have to go down once. I bring them upstairs and fold them while I"m watching TV, and I don't take anything upstairs until I have to use the bathroom or something.. so I kill 2 birds with 1 stone.. Another thing I do is clean out of the blue - say I brush my teeth, I get done then clean the bathroom sink.. Or before I go to bed I'll vacuum the living room.. You don't have to clean everything in one day - take baby steps!! Hope this helps and good luck!

RE:
Help me please I hate housework!?
I really hate housework. I mean I am very thankful that I do have my own home, but the cleaning is horrid and a losing battle. I don't feel its laziness but rather dread that keeps me from doing it. I keep the area where the baby stays clean. but I hate laundry and dishes and every other aspect...

I know where you are coming from, house work is not my favorite thing either, especially the laundry, it seem like it takes for ever, and dishes I bought an dishwasher, which would be one thing i would suggest its worth it. , I have three kids and i work full time so other thing i do is
make the kids help
pick days to do different things, for example
tidy up everyday and divide the other throughout the week
Monday kitchen/dining room
Tuesday: living room / bathroom
Wednesday: bedrooms
etc........
you could do a little laundry everyday, or just on Saturday,
Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do a little at a time..is better than all in one day. Do some before and after work. I find it to be easier that way! That way it doesn't seem like I'm worn out if I do all the cleaning in one day!

Cleaning the kitchen/dishes and bathroom need to be done daily, there are no way around it. Everything else I would just pick a day and download some good tunes to the ipod and go

Clean one room a day and choose one day out of the week to do dishes. If you are married ask your husband to help. You could hire someone to come in once or twice a week to help out if you can afford it.

Put some music on when you're cleaning. It helps tremendously.
