Sometimes my daughter's boyfriend will not stop talking. How can I tell him to shut up without hurting him?

What does he continually talk about? Himself? Nonsense? Or what? He may be a nervous person that fills quiet with chatter.

Say wat you mean and mean what you say and don't say it mean.

Ask him if he can talk about something else, or perhaps let him know that you need a break and some quiet time or to let someone else talk for a while.
