The skin on my face and my thighs is a yellow tent its never been like that before I've always been very white/pale........I'm waiting to hear back on a blood pregnancy test could the color change have anything to do with being prego? or is it something else?
I had jaundis (or however you spell it) when I was a baby but my liver was just checked a few months ago when i had a physical (b/c we are ttc) and the doc said everything was fine

Almost ninety percent of mothers-to-be notice some darkening of their skin, and this is thought to be caused by high estrogen levels. This darkening almost always fades away once your baby is born, but until then you may find it on your face, on or around your nipples, in your armpits or perineum (the area between the vulva and the anus), on your inner thighs, and around your navel. Minimize the darkness of these spots by protecting yourself from the sun, and if you're very bothered by them, talk to your doctor. More severe cases can be treated by an ointment available by prescription.

Other skin changes pregnant women observe are red and itchy hands and feet, blotchy patches on their legs, easily removable skin tags (small, loose growths of skin) on their arms and breasts, weak fingernails, itchy abdomens, and, vascular spiders, (tiny, red, and bumpy "spiders" that can appear on their upper bodies, face and neck and disappear after birth).

Sounds like jaundice to me.

There is a skin discoloration that can occure during pregnancies, but it looks more like brown age spots, not all over yellowing.

I highly recommend you go back to your doctor for another check of your liver. Drink plenty of water in the meantime.

I've never heard of that type of skin color change during pregnancy. If you think you might have a compromised liver. please see your doctor right away.

Perhaps the reason you did not get many answers is because you should be asking a doctor. Not a bunch of people who spend endless hours answering questions on Yahoo.

it could be something to do with possible pregs!(congrats if pos!)
that can do all kinds of crazy stuff to your body. make everything act weird!. however if it isnt that then you should see a specialist...could only be dermatelogical?(sp) good luck either way!

We're all afraid we might catch something by answering your question. sometimes people just tell you TOO MUCH information about themselves. Bye for now, I have to go squeeze a big red zitt.
