Well obviously yes, but atoms exist on a sub atomic level.

Atoms themselves cannot be concious as they are not living, but the things they comprise, i.e. a human body can be and is concious. Atoms do make up much smaller things that are living, such as cells, but a single-celled organisism cannot think to the degree that we can. It may have simple instincts such as "food" and "not food", but it is not aware that it is thinking.

In order to be concious of being concious, as humans are, many trillions of cells and even more atoms must work together to make a much bigger and vastly complicated being such as a human. The cells alone cannot function or survive or be concious; they are each a microscopic part of a very large puzzle, and as you know, a single piece alone does no good, all the pieces must come together perfectly in order for you to see the big picture.

I believe Amit Gaswami put forward the theory that it is consciousness which collapses the wavicle into particle form. In other words, he believes that ultimately the universe at its fundament is comprised not of particles or matter, but consciousness.

He thus uses this to lead into a theory of monistic idealism.

I strongly recommend the book, "The Self-Aware Universe" by Amit Gaswami. For me at least, (and I know that I'm not the brightest crayon in the box) this book contains so many implications that every time that I read it, I take something new away.

judgment of right and incorrect is metaphysical, this is not bounded with the aid of empirical entities mutually with atoms, as a result it may't be pronounced to exists interior the atomic point because of the fact interior the 1st place it would not even exist interior the empirical realm! @drnstvns Then if it somewhat is your argument, you're committing the logical fallacy of begging questions, on the grounds which you're already assuming that there is a God and that his life is needed for the action of the universe interior the macro or atomic point. @synapse How did you recognize that there is a substrate tension that holds each thing interior the universe mutually and is to blame for action interior the universe? and why did you say that "you at the instant are not your physique" the human character is made the two one in all physique and soul and not in basic terms the soul (Gnosticism usually regards the physique is evil that's incorrect)

No. Consciousness is a phenomenon of an organized system, not a property of constituents such as atoms.

I would say that if things can think then they have thoughts, but to what level are they thinking. Cells I would say for the most part yes, because they have a nucleus, but as far as on the atomic scale, i would say no, this is based on no facts to back this up, this is my hypothesis.

You have got to read Deepak Chopra's Life After Death (don't let the title fool ya!) it is fascinating how he covers that subject.
