they were in the beach, you dont expect your bf to be alone in a crowded beach, do you? first thing you have to get your facts straight (even ask yourself if this friend of yours is true to you or if he has some other intention that maybe he is making things up). once you get the story of your friend, also take the side of your bf. ask him where did he go at that particular time when your friends saw him in the beach, if he says otherwise, verify it. if the verification is weak then you make your judgement.
Hearsays has been a part of the community since human civilization starts, its somewhat helpful and at the same time destructive depending on how a story was delivered, what are intentions and how did the reciever react on the story.

Ask my friend what my boyfriend and this girl were doing. Because it's one thing if they are hanging out talking and swimming and another if they are making out and holding hands like they are a couple. And depending what my friend answers determines what I should do.

Wow, those are some outstanding friends. why could they care how super it somewhat is besides? it somewhat is unlike their the only relationship him. Plus that doesnt even count, how super. to a pair human beings it may count. yet I see no reason for it to. Yeahyeah, he's have been given 6 inches blahblahblah. it would not count, in basic terms perhaps tell your friends to give up that, && in the event that they have been truee friends, & They knew it substitute into making you unhappy/mad. they could end.
