Ok, I'm so confused. I love this guy so much. we're now engaged. but i realize after my engagement that my parents don't aprove of him because he's not from the same level of "class" as me. i dunno how to say it, but they say he's poor, his parents aren't educated like them ect...
I'm Egyptian so this is how most poeple in my culture think. i dunno if this is stupid or if they're right. they agree that he's a nice gentleman but yet they think he doesn't match me because of those differences. they always say that love will end after marriage so i should always look for rich and educated men. I can't leave him because i love him so much and he loves me. should I listen to my parents? or stay with him?

This happened to my aunt. You have to think about your future also. Even if you love him, living the rest of your life poor is not always a good thing. At least find someone who can provide financially.

Your parents may have some valid "reasons" that you aren't clueing into yet. I mean, what age are you? Life gives wisdom and experience and the benefit of 20/20 hindsight. If you love this guy, you need to weigh it against different types of love you have in your life. Your love for family and respect for their experiences mean much more after you are through with your 20's. That never seems true when we're in our twenties... However, all that said, if their reasons are class snobbish then you're just battling against what they accepted as wisdom from their parents who got it from their parents... etc...which also had validity a hundred odd years ago but which may not be apropos today. Good luck.

If you are of legal age so you can actually make the decision, I'd say stay with him.

If you are a woman, you might be facing a predicament. You will be second to everything.
If you are a man, not much of a problem.
