.srt files can be many things, so you need to inform us the intent of these files.

As you can see in the "known source" they can do many things such as

BSPlayer Subtitle, DVD Subtitle File, Omron CX-Supervisor, SDR99 Speech Recognition Task Speech Recogniser Transcript , Skymap Data File, SubRipper Subtitle Information.

I am assuming it is to do with DVD's so I would recommend the following link as a start
http://zuggy.wz.cz/ and check out DVD's

It's called a "speech recognition task" file.

".srt is the standard subtitle format produced by SubRip and is supported by virtually all subtitle manipulation and playback tools."

ok, right here wager is proper if u deleted a "folder" and not a "report" as suggested in ur first sentence. the rationalization why the folder u deleted isn't in the recycle bin is with the help of the fact it replaced into too vast to slot in there. finding on the quantity of area u enable for ur recycle bin, something larger than that gets deleted completely without stepping into the path of the bin. homestead windows commonly asks u to substantiate the everlasting delete b4 doing it although. consequently, the .tmp report isn't the factor u deleted and so would be unable to be switched over right into a folder. To recuperate the misplaced folder, attempt finding for a restoration utility. to illustrate, i be responsive to there was once a utility from symantec called ghost that allowed ppl to recuperate documents even after formatting their complicated tension. There could be some simlar classes accessible yet I dont be responsive to any. If to recuperate the folder, u used a restoration utility and ended up with the tmp report, then I advise u attempt discover some thing linked with that utility to open the tmp report. observe: those restoration softwares are no longer meant for "the casual person", so I advise if u rly rly choose ur folder returned, pass to between the laptop shops in ur section and ask them.

download mplayer and mencoder from here

http://mewig.sourceforge.net/modules.php?name=Content&pa=showpage&pid=7

the mencoder comes with the mplayer if you want to encode movies

to display the subtitles download Directvobsub and install, it will automatically load the srt file into you player when you view your movie file.
