I took both AP English and Calculus my senior year of High School. I skipped honor English and got an A in my AP class every term. The grade depends on both your teacher and the materials that you learn. The AP test changes every year, they never reuse a test. The same goes for the AP Calculus test as well. It just depends on how well you study, learn and take tests. If you decide to take both classes but think that you will not pass the test you do not have to take it and the class will still count as the needed credit. But don't worry if you have a good teacher and like the material that you are learning you will have no problem with the test. Also, when you take the test don't go into it thinking that you will fail or that it is going to be super hard because then your setting yourself up for failure. My AP classes in High School were the funnest classes that I had and I loved taking them. I took both tests at the end of the school year and I passed the Calc test but not the English test but I still had fun taking the class.

You do realize that AP classes take up alot of TIME

I took one AP class junior year and it took up about 70% of my weekend and 60% of my weekdays. My advice: Go for the one you're most confident at.

Plus on average, your Calculus hw should take you somewhere between 2 1/2 and 3 hours.

I dropped out of AP English Lang. because the teacher is an unreasonably harsh grader and rarely hands out Bs.

So, if you want to struggle for a C go ahead.
