I recently downoaded IE 7 and now it is not working..All writing is in red and it is playing up.I now cannot Restore my Pc ,even in safe mode :( Can anybody help me..I am running Windows Xp.

pop in your disc and choose the repair option after you type in your adminastrator password and get the prompt type in chkdsk /r

Windows does come with a PC doctor, in programs files, that might help. But I surmise that a full restoration back to factory settings is UNavoidable.

yep i am and my pc wont restore either,
tried several searches to resolve this but seems to be no answer

you should have a recovery disc. stick it in now.
