As someone else has already mentioned, the reason doctor's tell you to wait is due to high risk of infection. If you just can't wait (!) there are 'other ways' without having penetration.

Take it from me....mother of SIX kids. If it has only been 2 weeks since the birth of the baby, I imagine you are still bleeding/period. You CAN get pregnant after this stops.

I went for my checkup after my first baby (didn't go until 8 weeks tho because of ripping my stitches), and found out I was pregnant again!!! TAKE PRECAUTION!!!

Yes, you can most definitely get pregnant. Even if you breastfeed and are not getting regular periods you can still get pregnant and it is not easy having the babies so close together, not only is it difficult once they are born, but during the pregnancy when your first child wants to be held and carried, and you are 8 months pregnant. Once the baby is born...it is like a diaper changing factory, and it's like they tag-team cry all day long. And mine are 2 years apart, not one. I wouldn't reccomend getting pregnant so soon. You really aren't supposed to put anything in your vagina at least 4 weeks after the baby is born, but doctors reccomend that you wait til your 6 week checkup to avoid infection and possible tearing of the post partum stitches.

Good Luck!

Sweetie,it is not too soon if you are comfortable. However, doctors usually recommend at least 6 weeks. That would depend if you have stitches or not.If you have stitches then you shouldnt. You could tear them or you could even contract an infection.Although,i answered there is not one of us who can tell you if it is too soon. Each female is different, the only one who knows your body that well and the situation is your obgyn.I think you should make an appointment and speak to your obgyn about this.Ask them if it is ok for you to engage in sexual intercourse.Dont be ashamed to ask him as he is the only one who can give you a 100% accurate answer as to whether it is ok or not.If he gives you the ok,yes you can get pregnant. You can get pregnant anytime you engage in intercourse so use protection. There is still a small chance even with protection but it will make your chances smaller.Good luck sweetie, have a good night! Congratulations on your little blessing!

Yes an Yes, you are the most fertile right now than you ever will be ( unless you have another baby) I had sex 3-4 weeks after my daughters birth ( did you have stitches?) I did and they were gone but I will promise you they say wait 6 weeks for a reason!! It hurts very bad for a few times.

I remember the doctor telling me to wait 6 weeks before resuming sex. I had alot of tearing and stitches and needed to heal. Yes, you can get pregnant again, that's why you hear of some siblings being only 9 or 10 months apart.

If you feel you're ready for sex and the doctor hasn't told you not to have it then I would say go ahead. If it hurts or is bothersome then I would stop right away but sure why not. You could get pregnant again so if you don't want that to happen be very careful. You just gave birth and getting pregnant so soon could be tough on your body.

My man is a gyn/obs and I have a baby 4 months ago. He said to me "no sex for 6 weeks after the baby was born". And actually we waited more than that. They know more than we do

Doctors tell you to wait bc of the bacteria on a penis getting into your not yet closed uterus, but its really a personal decision. i read somewhere that you are good to go when you stop bleeding. Can't tell if its true. I know i didn't wait six weeks.

YES you can get preg. you are very fertile.....so just becareful bc your body probably isn't ready for another pregnancy this soon.

yeah its too soon to have sex I waited the whole 6 weeks but if you do before that use birth control because you can get pregnant easier now.
