If you were teetering on the edge of a cliff waiting to be rescued, then 15 minutes would be a lifetime....lol. Fifteen minutes trying to heal from a broken heart is but a few miniscules of a second...it is nothing. Depending on what the situation is will determine what a long and short time is.

This is different for every person. 15 mintues may not seem long to me, but an eternity for someone else.
