Dear Invisible--I have had a practice of reading my Bible and praying for a number of years. The Bible is full of people who had critical situations and it is very comforting and enlightening to read of their experiences. The Psalms are, in particular, very comforting. When I read, I pray; especially if a verse just zeroes in on my situation. It has become a source of inner strength and wisdom that has calmed my thoughts and helped me rise above the event knowing God has spoken to me in the Word in a very personal way.

I hate to admit that I love Crisis Management.

First, I feel a sense of excitement to jump into action.

Second, I feel a bit of confidence in the fact that in a crisis, you need a good, quick response with good quick follow through - not a perfect solution mind you, so no pressure to be perfect. It is after all, a crisis.

Lastly, I go through a rapid analysis of all of the information I can get my mind around. I play out the possibilities quickly and as completely as possible.

I pick one and go into action.

The danger is of course, that the adrenaline rush is addictive, and too much crisis management will take a toll on you mentally and physically.

I ask myself if anyone will die if it doesn't go well. If the answer is no (it usually is) then I reprioritize and take things one step at a time. I do the best I can then I move on. I have no regrets if it didn't turn out. Nobody can do any better than their best.

My faith in my Savior, Jesus Christ. He walks with me through all the bad times. He said in His Word that He would never leave me or forsake me. He's never failed to deliver.
