I know it's really old (older then me lol) but I just finished watching it on high demand. I thought it was really good, especially when she kills everyone. But the only scary part was when her mother at the end was trying to kill her and she was smilling with the knife in her hand. I didn't like the remake or sequel "Rage of carrie 2".

Yea they killed the pig and poured it's blood on Carrie..soo gross..but Carrie got them back!!

I like the book and the movie alot. I remember when I was a kid in the late seventies I would get so excited when it came on TV. I've seen it numerous times. I think of it more as a drama than horror. The acting, particularly Sissy and Piper, is really good.

Yes, I agree totally. I don't see any point to them and most of the comedy is only relevant until the movie they are spoofing becomes outdated and forgotten. However, studios keep making them so I guess there is some profit to be made. I suppose mostly teens are watching them.

The original is pretty good. I think it's a riot to see John Travolta with that HUGE head of feathered hair.

I LOVE THE MOVIE.THE BOOK WAS BETTER,BUT THE MOVIE ROCKED.JOHN TRAVOLTA WAS REALLY YOUNG AND OH SO HOT AND WILLIAM KATT OH WHAT A BABE.SISSY SPACEK WAS THE BEST PICK FOR CARRIE.
