I was in a hotel room with my family sleeping one night, in Austin, TX. I was lying on my stomach, when I looked towards the balcony. I noticed the curtain was pulled back a bit. I thought it was my mom, so when I started to ask what she was doing up...I felt it. This heavy pressure pushed me down into the bed. This pressure was holding me down on the bed. It was so strong that my ears popped and the air was knocked out of me. I started to panic because I couldnt breath. I tried to call out to my mom, but all I could hear was me groaning. My mom, who was lying in bed next to me, heard me and started calling out my name. Just as she touched me, the pressure went away and it was gone, instantly. I told my mom that something had just happened and she said she felt it. She felt a breeze glide over her arm towards me. This completely freaked me out. COMPLETELY. Has anyone ever experienced something like this before?

Not like that, no. But yes I have experienced ghosts (good and evil) in my time. And I am sure that I will experience it again. There is a show on Wednesdays evenings on the SciFi channel called Ghost Hunters. It is real live footage and they try to debunk some of the claims people have by going on location. Watch the show, you'll learn some stuff about hauntings and do some research on the net. You'll be amazed at what happens out there.

Yes we have had a similar experience. My sister did in her own room. She awoke to the sound of her name only to actually witness her blankets being pulled off of her with no one else in the room. She felt a 'heavy' feeling in the air. My children have felt the same thing while visiting their Grandmother in that house. Including a feeling like someone is watching you in my parent's shower. It is very creepy.

My wife's Grandmother had a very similar experience where she felt something heavy and she said it almost felt fuzzy with an odd smell to the room. She is not the type for drama or in any way flighty.

This is a very common experience. I have heard of a lot of people who have experienced this sensation. Nobody really knows what it is. It happened to my brother and many others I have met. It is always when somebody is on their back and they feel like somebody is sitting or pressing down on their chest. It often happens to teenagers. Don't let it freak you out.

This has happened to a close friend of mine, and I trust and believe her implicitly. I have been in the house she has experienced this in and I will never go back there again!

I haven't, but know someone who has. I think he has night terrors too and it's just stress and fear for him. Don't know about you.
