You can spot and still be pregnant, so yes, it can be an accurate pregnancy test if you are spotting. I spotted with my 2nd child. My daughter spotted with her first child. As long as you're not having pain it's probably not a miscarriage.

If your pg test is negative and you never have a regular menstral flow, you may want to retake the test in a few weeks. It's not unusual to have a light period when you're "barely pregnant".

If you are spotting and your pregnancy test came out positive, it probably means that the baby is implanting into the uterus. If you have more than a little spotting, call the Doc.
