"products of death"? o.O?

We have to buy water from the water company don't we?

We generally HAVE to have electricity from the electrical company.

We generally all use soap... at least I hope we do.

The list could go on and on, healthcare however is only an option if you can afford it and while society deems it to be a necessity it is realistically not something all citizens are necessarily able to have.

A lot people can't even afford health insurance after paying for their water and electricity, so it seems like those things are needed by people far more than they need health care.

Normally, in a free market system, the price charged is a direct reflection of supply and demand. If the demand remains the same - price goes up, sales go down - and vice versa, when the price goes down, sales go up.

However, if the sales remain constant regardless of price (as would be the case in the products you describe in your question), the product is said to be price inelastic.
