my new house had new bermuda grass sod installed 2 weeks ago. Should I water it now...or is it dormant now? It currently looks like new sod in separate pieces that haven't fused together yet. I assume I should water it but any thoughts?

Water away if you want it too live.

If the new bermuda grass is still green, it is not yet dormant. New sod of any type should be watered in well to help the roots grow into the existing soil. Once it either rains or the bermuda turns brown for the winter, little additional water is needed.

Yes! It does need to be watered! It is not yet in the dormant state because the roots have not yet attached to the ground! If you don't water it now it will not live!

Yes, yes, yes, that is the most important thing. Every day it needs to be watered well to keep it alive while it is attatching it's roots to the new ground. If it rains you can skip it but, that is the biggest reason for failure, not watering. They didin't tell you that?

water it a lot.... if it dries completely out, it will separate and leave gaps in your yard..... even when the grass starts growing it will be terribly bumpy. This happened on our new home.
