Does the human race spend too much time trying to live longer, looking for a cure for this and that. should we not deal with what life throws at us. If you get cancer at age 15 and are dead by 17 should you just deal with it. Those are the cards that life delt you, just play them. Why are we afraid to die. Why can't we learn to deal with grief. Why can animals just walk away from one of there own kind that had just been killed and just continue life. What is it in humans that makes us feel that OUR live's are far more important then anything else. Don't you get tired of the stem cell research debate. So you got breast cancer, at least you know How you are going to die. I may get hit by a truck and leave my wife and kids suddenly. Should it not be a survival of the fittest

For those that don't understand the Q.
Should we spend millions even billions of dollars on stem cell or cancer research that only the rich politician or movie star will be able to afford. Or should we use it to help the poor and homeless. And if you say spend it on stem cell can you stand toe to toe with a homeless child in south Africa, or Russia or China and tell them that they don't count. Why sould you not want to help better their life's then prolong yours..

Yes and no. If man is given the knowledge to save a life after a car accident, should we just let the injured person lay at the accident scene and die?? If that 15 year old with cancer can be helped or cured of the cancer, should we just let the teen die without trying to get medical help? I do not agree with either of these. Now, if I shoud get cancer, I am on my way out anyway, so no big deal. Really. Would you let an injured person lay at the scene of an accident and die??? Truthfully.

I think that people are not really preoccupied with living forever. First of all, people have become so curious about the life after death--heaven, hell, or pergatory--whatever it may be, that by living forever, they'll never know. Also, the main focus that humanity has brought to play is the objective of happiness. Living forever is just how some people find happiness, therefore, happiness is the main goal humans strive for, even if they don't realize it, and even if it's not what their true purpose is.
Everything happens for a reason. I believe that if something like dying young of a disease happens, there is a reason for it. God would not let it happen for no reason. A possible reason is to be an example. For example, if someone dies of lung cancer, that person could be an example of why not to smoke. That death may cause several friends and family members to stop smoking--preventing them from dying at an unfortunate age. Nothing happens because it is just the way things are; everything happens for a purpose, and sometimes an unfortunate situation brings about a useful message.

Well, the best I can say is this. If you really want it to work out and you want to stay together, then you will have to put some time and thought into the following. Now, you have to be very realistic and honest with youself in this. First, how have you acted toward her? Have you been the husband that you are supposed to be? Next, you have to think about all the bad things you have done, from little white lies to stealing an ink pen. Think about that things you have done which have hurt others, even if you did not mean them to do so. You may realize that you are not thsaint you think you are. She will also have to forgive and learn to act appropriately. She will have to answer for every moment and every thing she does. She must earn your trust. If she is unwilling to deal with it that way, oh well, ditch her. Adultery like anything else can be overcome, provided both parties are willing to work at it. It will take time and hard work and tongue biting. I could not do it, but some can.

Death is one thing everyone has in common. Living is the hard part. The fight to live is when the air out of your lungs is gone and you keep living now that's tough. I think bobbing in the water when the waves of life keep coming is tough too. Living and fighting to live when you don't get your way in life is pretty admired. Facing death without fear I think is also pretty cool. I think we should be ready to die when its the right time other wise fight and if it all possible wear a life jacket and use the buddie system mine is God.

I don't think it is trying to live forever. Our life is all we got, no one wants to face "the big Unknown." It is scary.
Compared to animals, we have the intelligence that can make us create technology and medicine to improve our lives.
Life is about survival (with all species). That is why they say "survival of the fittest"...you don't succumb, you fight....
give up and accept the cards dealt you just isn't acceptable, by NATURE.

You apparently believe we can die. The survival of the fittest includes those that can reason the fittest also. Then again, the survival of the fittest theory sucks anyway. Dang, it ain't been death that I have been afraid of because I do not know enough about deat to be afraid of it. I do know enough of life to be afraid of it though.
