I really want to be taken seriously, but I look young and being the youngest cousin makes this even harder. I never used to look young for my age, but for the past couple of years I have actually started to look younger than before. I have long, naturally curly hair, which I have dyed dark brown, roung blue eyes, and cupid's bow lips. I know this shouldn't bother me so much, but I am seeing them tomorrow and wonder if I should straighten my hair...if there are certain styles of clothes to wear...better makeup...anything, thanks.

For your hair, i know a bun with some pieces falling down would make you look more mature. It makes everyone look more mature. Also, try a knee-length skirt or maybe some black dressy pants. For makeup, go subtle. Mature women wear subtle makeup, unlike teenagers who tend to do for a more wild stand-out look.

Hope this helps :)

Sometimes a mature hair style makes all the difference. Perhaps try straightening your hair if you don't have time to get to a stylist. Also with your clothes, don't wear anything too trendy; a simple pair of black dress pants and a blouse will be nice. Keep the makeup natural; going heavy would be counter -productive. And just remember there is nothing wrong w/looking young for your age, you will be so thankful in a few years, trust me!!!!

It's definitely not sbout how you look, it's about how you act! Help out some of your relatives, act mature, and be polite. Don't whine or complain at all....it's not going to help your case.

If you want to look more mature, straighten your hair and wear something more mature, not childish. Just be the fabulous cousin you are and take others comments like they're nothing.

Enjoy yourself!

Really, family that hasn't seen you in years will remember you as a child and think you look older anyway. Besides that, there will be a day sooner than you think that you will want to look younger again. Dress and act more mature if that helps you but don't be in too much of a hurry to grow up.

you could get your hair cut short i know that makes people look older or if you don't want to lose your lovely locks do it up into a loose bun and wear something dressy but not too ott, like a button up blouse a nice skirt or dress pants and a pair of comfy heels, don't forget the eye liner and the lippie
good luck

wear darker makeup like browns darker pinks. for the outfit, wear like a button up blouse (preferably white) with like...one of those sweater vests, not one of the old granny vests, one of the hip new vests but get it in a darker color. no bights or pastels. and then wear a pair of khaki pants or a nice medium to dark wash jean. for your hair, wear it up in a neat ponytail.

Pull your hair back in a barrett, kinda like a lose ponytail, and dress casual, only put eyeliner on your top lids and the outer corners where your top and bottom lids meet, you'll look hot !!!!!!

While your appearance might affect how you look, if you really want to seem mature then be confident about yourself--no matter what your hair looks like.
