I guess some of us are just raised like that. My mum is pretty catholic and my dad is a private school principal so swearing was not allowed in my house. Then I started dating guys quite a few years older than me (old school chivalrous guys) and they told me they don't like swearing in front of women, so I really am used to men not swearing around me. My current boyfriend does a lot. He obviously wasn't raised like I was. That's just him though, I'm not gonna try and change him. I very rarely swear myself so I don't think I'm a hypocrite, it's just what I'm used to that's all.

Profanity is just a turn-off period. These words were once used when one was upset, now it has become a daily tirade and used for nonsense at those people who claim it is a way to express themselves. Sailors used it for manliness - what in the world are people using it so frequently for today, anyway.
When you say the majority of "girls" cursing, I am thinking you must mean the younger generation. Older women do not have a need to curse like sailors, as these women are articulate enough to say what is on their mind without using profanity .
Profanity, no matter who uses it, is a turn off.

It doesn't offend me!
All of the people on here who find it offensive are probably either (a) old, (b) referring to people who use profanity in extreme ways, or (c) carrying a stick in their as*es. In some cases cursing helps you express yourself. If my boyfriend flies across the country and surprises me with a visit, and I say "holy shi*!" and pass out, that makes a whole lot more sense to me than saying "my lord!" or "my word!" The latter reaks of someone who is not a liberated woman - Someone who is afraid to talk in an adult manner about sex. Someone who is afraid to try new things in the bedroom with her husband. Someone who a husband would be afraid to tell his fantasies to, and hence someone who's husband cheats. Someone who is so easily offended that they have to seclude themselves from the realities of the world today.

A lady never curses and a gentleman never curses in front of a lady? Well then I don't want a gentleman, and I'm no lady. I want to be a PERSON not a lady - not someone who men feel they need to shelter from reality. And I want a man who thinks of me as an equal partner. I am an educated harworking PERSON. I don't want a man to give up his seat on a bus for me - I can stand just as well as any man, thank you. I don't want a man to take care of me - I can live off my own money. Personally, i don't like it when i hear men AND women curse. If i hear them curse, the first thing that comes to mind is their "class". I think that People who HAVE class don't curse because their educated.
A guy cursing is a MAJOR turn-off for me.

Personally I believe that there are times and places where use of profanity is understandable. But I think that gratuitous profanity from anyone -- male or female -- is offensive. Some people seem to use profanity in place of punctuation or in between every other word. That's just ignorant and unnecessary.

F#@ok that. i'm no longer asserting I curse like a sailor yet those broads have have been given some nerve looking forward to others to bend to their mushy sensibilities. smug is sweet on the money sister. i'd guess those supposedly knowledgeable, extreme classification women folk have neither study something particularly worth reading nor listened whilst something of substance exchange into suggested to them. it particularly is hassle-free self-righteous, bourgeois bull and their way of existence has produced no longer something yet extreme upkeep customers. Bravo.

It's rude to curse in front of ANYONE you don't know well. Using profanity is a turn-off as a matter of fact. It implies a lack of intelligence to express yourself with a proper vocabulary.
