I have already sent my regular application in, and I'm sending in an updated resume. Will they even look at the resume if they've already seen my file?

It all depends on the University.

At the university I work at, I will take anything that a student sends us up until we make our decision. Therefore, if you haven't received a decision from the university just yet, I don't think that it would hurt to send it to them.

Like I said, some will put it with your file and consider it, while others will not. The best way to get the answer is to call the Office of Admission at the University and ask them. They'll be more than open to answer any of your questions.

Good luck!

It depends on the college. If this is a highly selective school, it's doubtful they will allow you to upgrade your application with additional information. They will allow you to advise them if you've dropped or failed a senior year class however.

If this is not a highly selective school, especially if it's a private school, they might be very interested in new information. And it might be helpful for financial aid as well.

You have nothing to lose by submitting an updated resume. Go for it and good luck!

I agree that there's nothing to lose from sending in an update; perhaps they'll consider it, and no harm done if they don't.
