i have seen where toothpaste works on minor scratches.

nothing you should have gotten the screen savers. If it isn't to horribly scratched up already then i suggest you go pick up some savers. Of course they have that garbage that you see on late night tv that is swabbed onto glasses and fills in the scratches.
