humans and monkeys shared a common ancestor, they are "cousins" not directly descended from each other.

probably cuz there is no need for any evolution to monkeys right now, humans are fine the way they are. If the enviroonmental conditions cause give the survival of monkeys a better chance than us " survival of the fittest", then i guess we can turn into monkeys, but i dont see that happening

What grade are you in? Let's, for the sake of argument, say, 12th grade. Now all college students have a common "ancestor", you high school types. If all college students come from high school, why do we still have high school students? Also, there is a great number of high school students who never become college students. Rough analogy, I know, but your question is very " rough " also. Learn something about evolution by natural selection. Then your next question can be, thus. Is parapatric speciation a valid concept, why or why not?

Some are. You can tell by the intelligence of questions asked in this forum. More seriously, evolution is a slow process, so, even if this were happening, you would not notice it. Humans are evolving now -- some diseases that would have killed off our forebears are now less of a problem, we are taller and heavier, and there are other subtle trait changes that can not easily be seen. The theory of evolution is now a proven fact.

Evolution does not say we 'come from monkeys': it says we share a common ancestor.

Good question. Whales were once on the earth which is why they still have leg bones. We were once monkeys which is why we still have a coccyx (tail bone), If you think you don't have one, have someone x-ray the base of your spine. And what the heck is a platypus?
