Size 1 about 6 weeks. Size 2 about 2 months. Size 3 about 1 month. My 8 month old daughter is in a size 4. Has been for sometime now. No matter the size, you will need TONS of diapers!

All babies are different.
My 3rd child was in size 1 when she was only a week old, because her thighs were too large for newborn size diapers.
My granddaughter (who lives with me) is just now getting big enough for size 3, and she is almost 6 months old. I would estimate that she went through 3 LARGE packs (I think they're called mega packs) of newborn diapers before moving on to size 1, then went through about the same amount of size 1 diapers before moving onto size 2. Looks like she'll be moving to size 3 soon, and she's been through about 3 mega packs of size 2.
Diapers are terribly expensive, so I know you hate to buy more than is needed. But should you buy too many of a size I'm sure you can find a friend that would greatly appreciate your extras!

All babies are different. My daughter wore size 1 until about 8-9 months then she went from size 2 to size 3 in just a few months later. I really didn't see much of a difference in the size 2 and 3. Size 4 came when she was about 19-20 months and then at 2 years we started the pull ups. It depends on you baby's weight and height as she develops.

With diapers you never know, don't get a lot ahead of time. Mydaughter is 2 months old and she's in size 2. So just wait on that til you have the baby. If you want you get about 200 newborn sizes, 300 size 1 diapers and about 300 size 2. Beyond that you might be getting too much of a certain size and they will go to waste.

It really depends on the size of your baby. My son was in newborn diapers until he was 2 months old. Now he is in size 1 and not any where near growing out. However my cousin's baby only wore newborn diapers at the hospital and was only in size 1 for about 2-4 weeks., My God daughter is two and in size 3 and has been there since she was nine months. Her nine month old sister has caught up with her and about to go to size 4. So you can see you just have to play it by ear. Everyone told me that I wouldn't use more than one pack of newborns, but I was buying a new pack every week until he could wear size 1

I would go with the weight that is listed on the package. How much you will need depends on the baby. My 21 month old is in size 4. None of my kids needed bigger than that size, but I am watching a little boy that is 16 months old and is in size 6! It just depends on the baby. Don't buy too many big packages at once or you might be stuck with the wrong size. Good luck.

I wouldn't stock up too much on the smaller sizes...once they hit size 3 they stay in those for a little while...Sizes 1 and 2 they usually outgrow in a month or two depending on the size of your baby! I'd say get one large pack of size 1 and 2, and then see if you need to go up a size after that. Good luck!

It really depends on how fast your baby is growing, My son is 4 1/2 months old and already in size 3 diapers.. He's a big baby.. My advice is to buy the diapers when you need them, b/c if you buy too much of one size and he/she hits a growth spurt, your out that 20 bucks you spent on the pack of diapers they can't fit anymore.. Good luck!!

My son was in size 2 by the time he was two months old, but my friend's baby was in size 1 until she was 6 months old. It just depends on the body type of your baby, and how fast he/she gains weight.
