We went on vacation to Atlanta on Friday, so before I left I sent an email to my friend and said, "I'm bisexual..." She still hasn't written back yet. I looked on her facebook and her status yesterday was "I'm not believing this." Do you guys think she's mad? She's the only person I've ever told, and she's very understanding so I thought she would still talk to me. Maybe she just doesn't know what to say.. idk i'm really confused

Hmm, I hope for your sake that she's ok with it.

Be strong, you've done a brave thing to come out. Remember, she may be surprised at first, and not know how to deal with it, so if she does react strangely, or even badly, give her a bit of space and she may come around.

If you are really worried, perhaps you should try calling her, or emailing her again and let her know your fears.

Goodluck, and I hope it works out for the best.

Sometimes, things like this are better off being told face to face, and not by e-mail when you're on your way out to vacation. Sometimes friends need time to process this type of info. A friend thinks they know everything about another friend, so maybe she feels that you didn't trust in her enough to confide earlier. Give her some time. Don't stop e-mailing her. But after a week or so, if you get no response, try giving her a call, and explain that you're the same person you were before you sent her that e-mail, so her feelings toward you should not change.

Well sometimes people need more time to process things. Especially if she's your bestfriend and had no idea. She's probably thinking about what else she doesn't know about you. Just give her a little time to think and then write her again.

give her sometime...and it may have went better if you did it in person. that way if she had questions you could answer right then . instead she had to sit and answer everything herself
