a friend of mine played a little prank on me and had me eat some organic morning glory seeds with him this morning as a snack, (i did not know it had any "good" qualities), my question is: are there any other legal plants you can think of with such qualities?

i have tried salvia, mushrooms, cacti extract and even a foxglove derived tea among other things. i would really like to know what else is out there.

Many of the Psychedelic plants contain DMT, which is either snorted (Virola, Yopo snuffs), or drank with MAOis (Ayahuasca). It can not simply be eaten, and it needs to be extremely concentrated to be smokable, since the user needs to smoke all of it in a minute or else tolerance builds rapidly. Here are a few of the DMT containing plants:

-Yopo -Virola -Mimosa Hostilis -Philaris grass

In Ayahuasca these plants are consumed with Harmala alkaloids found in:

-Banisteriopsis caapi -Psychotria viridis -Syrian Rue

-Peyote & other Psychedelic Cacti (like San Pedro) contain Mescalin -Hawaiian baby woodrose & Heavenly Blue Morning Glories (Ipomoea violacea) contain ergine -Shrooms or psychedelic mushrooms contain psylocybin, and psylocin

Often called "true hallucinogens" these will not make you "trip" but will instead cause you to be delirious, and see stuff that isn't there and interact with your hallucinations. Many people on deliriant think they are more mentally stable on the drug than they actually are. The active chemical in most deliriant can also be extremely toxic. These drugs are rarely abused, because they give no "high".

Deliriant plants include:

-Deadly Nightshade (Bella Donna) -Mandrake -Henbane

In Oliver Sack's book "The Island of the Colorblind", he explores this subject, and even utilizes some and writes about his "trip" quite eloquently.
