Has she been to an orthopedist?? I would think she should be wearing a sponge collar to support her neck and avoid further damage.

Take a good Multi vitamin twice a day to make sure her body has all the vitamins and minerals it needs for healing.

Do nothing rough and rowdy that could injure her neck further.

Good luck for her recovery.

And she's not paralyzed? Amazing luck for her then. She should have an orthopedic surgeon following her healing process. I would assume she has a collar supporting her neck/head. She should not be turning her neck or head around, shaking it, putting weight on that area, etc. Bone will remodel with time but any movement on the bone will cause it to take more time. Calcium supplements and iron could also help. A pillow that is not too high so that the neck is not bent is good...
A PT or OT would be able to help guide the healing process.
Best of luck to your sister in her healing.
