Hi i used to raise guppies. yes you do put the breeder tank in along with some fake grass to go in it. place her in it and keep checking to see if she has had the babies. put her back in tank once she has the babies or she will eat them. the fake grass gives the babies a place to hide from her. keep the babies in there til they get some size on them and place them in tank with other fish.

When was she last in a tank with a male? If you recently got her, or if you have a male in the tank, she's pregnant. Did she have babies last month? They usually have babies every month.
I don't like using breeder nets, frankly. It stresses the females out like crazy, especially if you put her in too soon. The best way is to put lots of plants (fake or real) in the tank, and just catch the babies with a net when they are born. You won't get them all, but the strongest babies will survive and you can still catch 20+.

She may have had her babies already and is just fat. Look around in the tank for fry!

i bought 6 guppies 5 females one male for about a month all the females were swollen with babies dark gravid spots then within a week they all dropped there babies now about every 27 to 39 days they have fry,i think that strees and water conditions affect them ,i have even read that the female can actual abort the fry if conditions arent right,my ph is 7.0 water temp is 78f i feed regular tropical fish flake food and blood worms and throw in a couple of peas for a balanced diet make sure you stay on top of your water changes and youll have babies in no time,,if you need any guppies ill be more than happy to send you some ,you pay postage have several varitees ages and sexes,,hope this helps have a good one.

She probably is still pregnant. They have babies every 4 weeks. But you need to take the mom out immediately after she has babies or she'll eat all the babies. If you have lots of plants in there to give the babies hiding places, that will help.

Once she dets pregnant she can have babies up to 6 times without another male. Each time the number of fry should get bigger but not always. Don't forget to keep her away from the babies otherwise she will eat them.
